「みんなにわかってもらう」という非現実的な目標について。

First of all, let me state that I have no interest in nor intention of making EVERYONE understand what I am talking about.

たとえばこのブログはほとんどが日本語で、時々英語で書かれている。
It just happened to be so. It depends on in which language the idea arises. I believe that is the best way to let my thoughts run and bring them out.
なので日英バイリンガルでないと読めないところがある。

あいにく私は日本語と英語しか遣えないが、part of the reason why I pursue the study of language education is that there is an assumption that learning other languages enhances cognitive development: i.e. the more one is linguistically equipped, the more he/she can elaborate on his/her thinking.

では2言語がわかれば全部読めるかと言うと、そうでもない。
Well, you may argue that you could “read,” but that does not necessarily mean you understand.
内輪ネタや専門性の高い話は明らかに万人向けではない。

In addition, it takes all kinds to make a world.
書いたようには読んでもらえないし、言ったようには伝わらない。
そんなことをいちいち寂しがっている暇もない。
You may think that I am a pessimist, and I agree.

「わかってもらおう」の本当のところは、Underlying the desire, there is a powerful ego.
「わかってさえもらえば気に入ってもらえる｣と？
You are not accepted, only because people don’t understand you?

通じないことが前提。
That’s why it is such a nice surprise to find someone who understands you.
